zerne15 wanted to know:
How did Boone take to combat rations? Which, going by Regimental Standard, are mostly cat food or blocks of identical nothing eaten with a spork.

A: Raege assumed, not unfairly, the Boone would spend even more time moping and crying if, in addition to everything all the other luxuries her life now lacked she also had to endure army food. For the first seven months or so of their time together, Raege gave her (generally far superior) officer and commissar level rations to Boone under the premise of Boone needing to try it first, as she was more expendable. This included rare foodstuff collected on missions or gifted to her by Levy. Once the Edges had a decent mess sergeant and had a little more luck with acquiring better quality foodstuffs Raege risked letting Boone eat the same food as everyone ranked below her, Lockwood and the assassins. It turns out Raege needn't have worried quite as much as she did, as Boone had a fascination for cheaper, greasy food and army food was still nicer than what she ate aboard the black ships. It did establish the relationship of not moping so much in exchange for snacks between her and Raege, though.

***************************

It was kind of fun trying to draw these to more as they looked when I first started drawing them. It's been a while since we saw scenes from the earlier years of the Ragged Edges crew.

I feel bad stealing dialogue from another source verbatim (DBZA) but after I wrote it in as  placeholder I liked it too much to change it.

Always on the look out for more questions. For the sake of variety, non ragged edges ones should alternate ragged edges ones ideally.
I am still answering a couple also, but they're being coloured and shit.

Thank you all for your patience.

Crikey. Did Raege always have DEM HIPS?

I'm going to have to trawl through your entire gallery. Again. For SCIENCE.

She is broad hipped but generally only has dem hips when she's in the scola or in the first few years of the ragged edges. I think in one of her spotlight comics it's mentioned that she went a little soft when she was a teacher.

That point is something I'm amazed at you managing to portray so well given how many time frames you put her in.  She IS definitely softer here than in recent images.  Between that and her hair not having any grey in it I'd have known this was early even without you saying so....also her expression cause she got way more comfortable and kind to Boone over time.

Thank you so much for this. Saw the peach, and immediately went for the metaphor that was already explained to you. Then died laughing at your reaction.

Mate, it's fantastic seeing you climbing back in the saddle. Your little views into the lives of our ersatz Inquisitorial platoon add a great deal of flavor.

Also, Boone will forever have my heart, but her dedication to greasy food has only served to endear her even further, were it possible. Wonder what she'd make of poutine...? Or some proper Texas BBQ...

There WAS that really early sketch where she pretended to be as inspiration to her men....But she certainly IS being a bit tsun here...even though this being early days its likely just a SLIGHT affection buried under annoyance and prudence (in the early days a happy Boone is useful rather than an emotional mess)

Is it weird that in my head canon (of my own work -christ) the early ragged edges comics are now like the early fuklaw comics that gannadene did? Sort of an in-universe perversion on an existing person.

Raege is hard-hearted but she has enough introspection to not want to make someone else as bad as she is. Honestly, it might be fun to explore the earlier years of the ragged edges from time to time.

I've had Bacon, Turkey, Low Sodium, and Garlic Spam.

My preferred way of eating it is the following sandwich:

egg-in-a-basket
mayo
mustard
lettuce
fried spam
ripe tomato (since I know you bongs like 'em green)
fried bread for the other slice

Who knows what exalted varieties they have in Hawaii.

Newish 4chan slang for a Briton. Britbong/Bongistani, etc. Derives from a screenshot where all Britons treat Big Ben as an object of devotion and the hours are declared as "(x) Bong" ex "OI IT'S SIX BONG"

I like the sharper lines and stuff cul! so I got a Garlands/bok question, who/what is the biggest powers in the world so far? I keep seeing mention of Ternion something but thats it. (mostly because my memory is garbage)

I am very glad you like the sharper lines. Sketching has become a popular option for art I can do in my lunch break.

Honestly, I'm still struggling with the overall power structure in the garlands. There are definitely mayors and barons where needed an appropriate but I don't know where the buck stops. Likely there is a council, with one of each of the ternion races to procide over the policies of each body of land. Although because the laws of the civilised world are largely unified among all countries that still wont be where the buck stops.

There is a military, and a hierarchy there. There are cop equivalents (sats) and RCMP equivilents (Vanguards) and presumably they have an ultimate boss. One within each continent. There seems to be a central authority regarding information and discovery that is INTENTIONALLY obfuscating itself (Diolen, Valkova and Steerpikes boss) as well as their being guild leaders and stuff.

It's one of the reasons I'm developing a Garlands pnp game, honestly. I'm hoping that it'll force me to think about things like this as players explore. Maybe also if other people (assuming they want to play the same game) will regail me with tales of times they have spent in the same universe.
