Time Meme 2: Bok Tyneside

Age 5:
Born from poor but honest and loving parents, whose union and subsequent offspring lead to them being considered abhorrent in most places. Work is scarce and relocations frequent, but they take it in stride, making their living by through music, which young Bok loves.

Age 13:
Determined to become a Bard, but both unable to afford lessons or adhere to conventional musical paradigms, Bok practices by himself in nearby forest. A passing young harpy overhears Bok's singing and gleefully joins in, and a friendship is formed.

Age 17:
After just barely scraping through and qualifying for membership of the bard's guild, Bok moves to the big city of Gamkia to find his fortune. Unable to find work as a bard, he takes up work as a short order chef and barman at a tavern, where he proves good for business, the owners advertising him as 'the worlds tallest goblin' -an attraction of sorts. While working there he meets a young, well meaning but slightly dense rich boy, Noonan Forbes. The two enjoy a cordial relationship except for when Bok requests that Noonan actually demonstrate a Paladin like ability, since he claims to be one.

Age 25: Convinced that he is a fallen paladin who has lost his divine powers, Noonan shaves his head and sets off on a quest to regain them. He offers Bok an enticing monthly wage to be his aide, which, having been relegated to dish washing after being serially foul to customers, he is inclined to take. All the same, Bok has a very bad feeling when he sets off, and begins to develop a nervous tic in his left eye.
