I feel I should point out, as there is occasionally confusion about such matters, that I did NOT invent Commissar jellyfish.

In a thread, maybe a little over a year ago, on /tg/ some cosplay of a commissar with medium blonde hair was posted and he was quickly agreed upon as the least intimidating commissar ever. One who could never get anyone to toe the line, and whose orders were punctuated with ums and ers. But who was "looked after" by his troops, and was always at the front of things.

I like the idea very much and didn't want it to slip to far into obscurity, so I wrote a story follow up to the concept.
