Turns out, young Bok's fratnerization with the Kiplingi tribe was fairly pivotal in his direction as a bard. The distinctive inhalation based cry of their people, he tried to work into his musical act, and he began using the webs they spun as strings for his musical instument, which produced a very different sound.
